ABOUT

My name is Sydney Kobak, and I’m a contracted Design Engineer at DPS Skis in Salt Lake City, originally from Philadelphia. I recently completed my MSc in Sports Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. I earned my BS in Integrated Design Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in December 2023, with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering and an emphasis in Business.

In addition to my engineering work, I am the Chief Design Officer, Creative Director, and Co-Founder of Piña Designs, where we upcycle pineapple scraps into biodegradable, sustainable hair ties.

I’m passionate about designing products that improve people’s quality of life and am driven to stay within the sports industry as a lifelong athlete. I thrive on challenging projects and am always looking for ways to grow—both as an engineer and as an entrepreneur.
